In the ongoing 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, India has performed well so far as it has won 66 medals – including 14 gold, 25 silver and 27 bronze. With 66 medals, India currently ranks fourth, behind China, Japan and South Korea.
India’s gold medal tally is expected to rise on October 4 with Neeraj Chopra taking to the field at 4.35pm (IST) in the men’s javelin final.
In 2023, the defending champions were in stunning form and won two Diamond League titles before finishing the competition in the championship final. He also won the gold medal, becoming the third world-class javelin thrower to win Olympic and World Championship medals.
