From exchanging shirts to criticizing Haris Rauf’s performance, and Wasim Akram’s scathing attack on the Pakistani cricket team – Magazine Creations

Former Pakistan pace bowler Wasim Akram criticized Pakistan’s poor performance against India and came down hard on Pakistani cricketers.

The former speedster criticized Pakistan skipper Babar Azam especially after videos flooded social media of Babar Azam receiving a signed jersey from Virat Kohli on the field after the match.

“Babar should not have met Kohli on the ground. This was not the right situation to meet Kohli publicly. “Babar should have taken the jersey privately from Virat,” Wasim Akram said as reported in various media reports.

On the bowling alley, Wasim Akram was not happy with Haris Rauf’s performance. He criticized Rauf while speaking on a sports program and said that Rauf only takes wickets when opposition batsmen chase him. Akram also said that Rauf does not swing the ball and compared him to Indian Jasprit Bumrah. He said Rauf needs to improve his height for one-day bowling.

Meanwhile, another former Pakistani cricketer, Ramiz Raja, was disappointed with Pakistan’s performance as they lost to India in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup match by seven wickets.

Pakistan were all out for 191 runs in 42.5 overs. Captain Babar Azam scored a highest for Pakistan with 50 (58 balls) while Mohammad Rizwan scored 49.

“That would hurt Pakistan because they were not competitive. When you play against India, obviously that’s an environment where 99 per cent of the fans and fans are Indian, you’re obviously overwhelmed. I understand all of that,” Ramiz said. He said in the latest episode of The ICC Review podcast.

Spinner Shaheen Afridi has not been at his best since returning from a knee injury, while pacer Shadab Khan’s lack of success in the middle has been a talking point recently.

Arthur said they were trying to address these issues.

“Look, it would be remiss of me to discuss it here, but we have done some work with them,” the former Australia coach said.

“The key for us now is getting our players to stay calm. It’s getting our players focused on the next game, which is building them up and making sure they go into the next game thinking they can run through a brick wall.”
