ICC World Cup 2023: Chennai Metro to provide expanded service for today’s Pak Vs SA match on these routes. Details here – Magazine Creations

The Chennai Metro Rail Service has announced that it will provide extended train service until 12 am to cater to the crowd at the World Cup cricket match between Pakistan and South Africa at the MA Chidambaram Stadium today, i.e. on October 27. Pakistan vs South Africa Chennai ODI is a day-night match and will start at 2 pm

The extended service will be available on the Green and Blue lines.

According to Chennai Metro Rail, on the Blue Line, trains will travel from Government Estate station towards Airport station and Wimco Nagar Depot station, with services modified based on passenger demand.

While on the Green Line, trains departing from Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. Metro station will be routed. MG Ramachandran Central towards St. Thomas Mount at a frequency of 15 minutes.

It also added that the Intercorridor service will not operate from 11:00 pm to 12:00 am on match days.

Pakistan and South Africa match:

This will be the sixth match for both teams in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup. Pakistan is currently in sixth place with four points while South Africa is in second place with eight points. The Pakistan team still has four more league matches to play in the World Cup to qualify for the semi-finals.

On the other hand, South Africa was in amazing form. The team scored 428 points against Sri Lanka and won the match by 102 points, 311 against Australia and won it by 134 points, 399 against England and won it by 229 points, and 382 against Bangladesh and won it by 149 points. But they lost to the Netherlands by 38 points. According to Google Win Probability, there is a 62% chance that South Africa will win this match.

For those watching the match live from home, the Pakistan vs South Africa match will be broadcast live on Indian TV via Star Sports channels. Indian viewers can also enjoy free live streaming of these matches on the Disney+Hotstar app and website. Moreover, Meta, the social media giant, has also partnered with ICC to cover the 2023 World Cup on Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook and Threads.
