IPL 2024 Auction: Delhi Capitals approach Mumbai Indians for Rohit Sharma trade, here’s what MI says – Magazine Creations

With Mumbai Indians appointing Hardik Pandya as their captain for the upcoming 2024 Indian Premier League, reports arrived on December 16 that Delhi Capitals had approached MI to trade Rohit Sharma ahead of the 2024 IPL season.

According to a report by L CricTrackerwhich he transferred Sports todayDelhi Capitals are looking for a senior player to lead their team next season, as their regular skipper Rishabh Pant was supposed to play as an impact player.

Amid MI rejecting the offer from DC, Pant will have to lead the team that is making a comeback after a brutal car accident.

Earlier in November, Mumbai Indians traded all-rounder Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore. He added this $17.50 crore to MI’s wallet to bring Hardik Pandya back to their team from Gujarat Titans.

MI loses more than 400 thousand followers:

After MI announced that Hardik Pandya will take over as captain from IPL 2024, the team started losing followers like a pack of cards. Reactions to X are pouring in as supporters show their support for Rohit Sharma, saying there is no Indian in Mumbai without him.

Under Rohit’s leadership, Mumbai reached the finals of the Indian Premier League five times – in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020 – and won them all.

Rohit started his ISL career with the Deccan Chargers in 2008. He was one of the most consistent players in the first three seasons of the ISL and was instrumental in his former team winning the title in 2009. Since 2011, Rohit has been an integral part of the Mumbai Indians team and took over the captaincy in 2013, and till 2023, he has etched his name as the most successful captain in the Indian Premier League with five titles.

In his IPL career, Rohit has scored a total of 6,211 runs in 243 matches, with his highest score being an unbeaten 109. He also took 15 wickets, with a best bowling record of 4/6 in 2009.
