Waqar Younis is angry after alleged conversation with Babar Azam was broadcast on TV, says: ‘This is pathetic’ – Magazine Creations

Legendary cricketer dignity Younis on Monday took to social media to criticize those who leak personal conversations on television after an alleged WhatsApp conversation between Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam and an official of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) went viral on social media. Although the original source is not confirmed, the conversation was broadcast during one of the talk shows on the channel.ary news,” which captured a conversation between Babar and PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer.

The whole fiasco started after Pakistan lost four of their six matches and were on the verge of elimination from the World Cup. There are rumors that Babar’s leadership is under the line of fire and PCB chief Zaka Ashraf is not even answering his phone calls. Waqar was not happy to see the alleged “personal chat” being made public.

The text as presented by “ARY News” stated:

“Babar, there is also news circulating on TV and social media that you have called the Chairman and he is not answering. Have you called him recently,” the sender named Salman was seen asking the Pakistani captain, to which the receiver whose name was saved as “Babar Azam” replied New,” saying, “Salaam Salman bhai! Main toh sir ko call nahi kara (Greetings Salman! I haven’t made any such calls to sir).”

“Ya kya Karna ki koshish kar raha ho aap loog??? This is pathetic!!! Khush ho gaya aap loog. Please leave @babarazam258 alone, he is an asset to Pakistan cricket @TheRealPCB @ARYNEWSOFFICIAL @Salman_ARY,” Waqar wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Azhar Ali, former Pakistan captain, who was present on the program when the WhatsApp conversation was broadcast to the whole world, condemned the reckless behavior of ARY News. “Before forwarding this message, was Babar’s permission obtained? Even before raising this matter, you should have obtained Babar’s approval,” the former skipper asked.

Netizens’ reaction was also sharp.

One user said: “They just showed Babar Azam’s private WhatsApp chat with someone on live TV without his consent. This is the Pakistan captain. How can you stoop so low @Shoaib_Jatt and how can you agree to show this on your show @WaseemBadami, expected of you.” Best. Absolutely pathetic. Lanat.

Another user @Salman_ARY commented seriously? You agree to this propaganda against @babarazam258
